Creating a bird sanctuary

Halo Whakatāne aims to create an unfenced bird sanctuary around the Eastern Waiariki region by educating others about pest control and connecting conservation groups with individuals around the region to increase efforts to control and eventually eradicate target pest species over 20,000 hectares of the Eastern Bay, contributing to the Predator Free 2050 targets. This wonderful organisation is committed to making a difference to the environment in the region.
