Creating a more connected future
Bay Conservation Alliance has been championing conservation and environmental sustainability for years, and now they’re turning their lens to the future with an exciting new project. They are creating an Ecological Connectivity Strategy and Story Map tool which can be used to engage the community and boost environmental response and action. The aim is to identify and prioritise key conservation areas needing management and further support within the western Waiariki region, while also providing a tool that will assist the community to create habitat stepping-stones and nature corridors that improve the movement of native species across the landscape.
